" Danger of A Single Story"

What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?
To me it means about how you judge the community about what you think about it, but its not what you would really see, and that you think about it the negative way, and not true.

2. Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?
On the article about my community is that most race is African Americans and that its not all good or pretty that it is in the West side where the rich people stay. Also that Most schools in eastside are not passing and that there are mostly drop outs. Most people would learn that our community is mostly not poor but not so good and that its not a good community to live in. Another thing is that people can talk about our community and it can but sometimes not be true on what they are saying, and it can stop people from moving into our community. But really my community is not a bad place, its mostly teenagers that make it bad because the things that they do, but really just because you see something bad in the community, it can only be in that part or area and not anywhere else i the community.

3. Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?

In another community like in the West side of Austin is a really good community where all the rich people stay and there aren't any problems out there with anybody. I learned that story because my cousin lived out there and I always used to go to his house and the community he lived in wasn't like my community, when I first went to his house the houses that are around him might not be so good but its not the houses its the people that live there that make the community better.

4. How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?

On a game you can give them more information about the community and maybe show them pictures of what it looks like and make them type on how they think that community is but than really tell them about that community.

Globaloria 1 Cyberbullying

What is a Cyberbully?
- A cyberbully is someone or anyone who picks on you, or harass you on the cell phone, in school, or also on any other wesites that have emails that they can send you such as, Facebook, Myspace, Gmail, Yahoo.
When a Cyberbully bully you it could start off by "Gossip" Tellling everybody things about you that are true but that is supposed to be private about yourself.
They can either be bulllying you because either they were bullied when they were young and they are trying to bully you or someone else to get revenge.
To stop being bullied online is to send all messages that they sended you to another grown person that you know and who would something about it to stop it. Also you could block the Cyberbully or even delete him or her.
How do you know he the Cyberbully is?
The person who is being the Cyberbully can be anyone that you do know or that you dont know and can be using another persons picture.

Winding Down

My team name is called JForce and the name of our game is called Critical Condition "A Livin' Atomic Bomb" The game is about pollution like water pollution and waste pollution and also erosion and how to prevent it. We have completed all of the scenes that they are already working and that we got all buttons working. We have mostly everything in our team page almost done we just have to go and upload every scene onto the page, and every thing is filled out with information, and also all the videos are uploaded of our game. We dont really need that much time to finish there are just little errors that we have to fix and thats it but once we finish then we will be done. To try and finish until Friday will be easy since I already know what to work on and its easy to fix the errors and upload the scenes on the page and I know we will be done by the week. The grade that I will give myself for globaloria out of 100 will be a 92 because I really work and finish assignments on time and get them done. The Most Important thing that I learned this year is how to create a game and make it playable, and how to add scenes. I am proud because I got to get the game done and that was one of my most important thing to do for the whole year. I can improve next year by when we have to design a game again to really get to work and finish on time so that way I wont have to rush because I wont have enough time.

The website that we were playing games on is very awesome the games are fun to play and they are kind of hard. What Does The Site Teach? The site teaches about the civics and how they study and do their jobs How Does It Teach About Civics? How the things they do for the commuity and their job I like this website because you get to play the games about civics and it actually teaches you about what they do.

The new Nintendo 3DS looks like a fun portable system that you can have and play with. The Nintendo 3DS is also 3D where you can play games that are 3D and you don't need to wear or buy any glasses to watch it and play. The Nintendo 3DS are only in two colors which are Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black. The price of the new Nintendo is only $249.99. The Nintendo 3DS now has an analog stick on it so now instead of using the touch screen you can just move the analog stick. Another cool thing about the new Nintendo 3DS is that it has a camera that can take photos in 3D, and it doesn't matter what photo you take the picture can come out 3D. Also the Nintendo 3DS Stylus can be stretched longer or shorter so that way you wouldn't be close up to the portable while playing. The Nintendo 3DS comes with a 2GB Memory Card that can store the pictures in 3d and the recordings that you can record on it and you can use it to download games from Eshop on the Nintendo 3DS. The last cool thing about the Nintendo 3DS is it also has an Motion Sensor so whenever you move the system around with a twist the system will respond instantly. I think theseNintendo 3DS are cool that I would love to have one and play with it in 3D.

If I created an amazing video game that the people love I would sell it for money so that people can play it, I wouldnt give it out for free then I would be missing a lot of stuff from that when I can make money for it. I would love to add a celebrity to my game maybe like an rapper I would put Wiz Khalifa or a rapper that I really like I Wouldnt put a actor because I really wouldnt know who to put because there are a lot of them and I dont really have a actor that I like. At first I would try and get on commercials and talk about my game and tell whos going to be in it on the things you can play it on maybe on a Ipod touch or a console, show how much it would cost to down load it onto a console. Also I would make youtube videos about my game and talk about it also.

JAPAN EARHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI

There was a huge tsunami in Japan that had happened and a lot of people died and got injured. There were explosions from the Power Plant that were placed there in Japan and started to blow up from the earthquake and also from the water from the tsunami that flooded Japan. When the earthquake happened it caused damage, but until the tsunami started after the afterquake had caused most of the damage and deaths.

To help Japan I wouldnt really want to send money because its still flooded and the people cant really go anywhere but the people do need it to clean everything up. But I want to send materials like clothes, food, and other things that the people who sufferd the earthquake and the tsunami will need.

To help the other kids who are raising stuff for Japan, I would help them raise money since thats what the goal is for them to make more money and send it to the people in Japan who really need it. These kids who are helping had raised a lot of money already and are going to get more to help Japan.
